The National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) was founded in 2013 as a means to mobilise national resources to support the government in achieving sustainable and substantial improvement in education, as directed by the National Development Plan (NDP).
Background the Convention
As we gather here to commemorate a remarkable milestone in the journey of the NECT, it’s not just an anniversary we celebrate, but a decade of your unwavering commitment to building social capital for the betterment of education. Therefore, the NECT’s 10th Anniversary National Convention is a testament to the dedication, vision, and passion that have driven us forward.
Together, over the past ten years, we’ve navigated the educational landscape, overcoming obstacles, and improved taking advantage of opportunities as they emerged. Today, we stand as a beacon of hope and progress.
Looking back, we find valuable lessons etched into the tapestry of our journey. We’ve learned that even in the face of adversity,
we can innovate, adapt, and emerge stronger. The challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic tested our resilience, and they also revealed our capacity to be creative and collaborative.
We’ve shown that together, we could reboot, recover, rebuild, and forge a brighter future for education.
